Tom Blakeley graduated from the University of Texas School of Law.  He was board certified in 1978 and recertified in 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998 and 2003.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association (former director) and the American Trial Lawyers Association.
